About the Club

Formed in 1928 the Rotary Club of Scunthorpe is one of the oldest in Britain and Ireland. A members club of professional men and women, we meet together regularly on a social basis and with the aim of helping communities – locally, nationally and, through Rotary International, people overseas who are less fortunate than ourselves.

Fund raising events and hands-on projects (which usually have an element of fun!) are spread throughout the year and are tempered with cultural visits and outings undertaken purely for pleasure. Our largest regular events are the twice-yearly charity Crafts & Collectables Fayres, the Rotary District Games for the Disabled and the Scunthorpe Festival of Christmas Trees held in support of our local hospice.

Meetings are held every Tuesday lunch time at The Wortley House Hotel, Scunthorpe.

President of the Club for the year 2018/2019 is Lesley Slack seen here on the left with 2017/2018 President Chris Walton.
